Call for local suppliers to help with Dorridge Sainsbury's build
Published on Monday, 14 October 2013

Sainsburys has confirmed that initial works for the redevelopment of the Forest Court shopping precinct in Dorridge will begin from Monday 2nd December.
A principal contractor, RG Group, has now been appointed and site activity will commence early in December ahead of full-scale demolition and construction works starting early in 2014.
The initial works will consist of soft-stripping out Forest Court and preparing the site for full commencement. Car parking in the site will remain available for village use until the New Year.
The development will include a Sainsbury’s store with 184 car parking spaces, as well as an extended and refurbished doctors’ surgery and additional independent retail units.
A Sainsbury’s café and an independent pharmacy will also be included in the development, as well as an open space public square and improved pedestrian links with traffic calming measures on Station Road.
Sainsbury’s and RG Group are now keen to hear from local firms who could be procured for the various sub-contract works on the site. Any interested parties can send their details to info@sainsburys-consultation.co.uk for consideration.
Those meeting certain criteria regarding expertise, experience and health and safety standards will be contacted to discuss contracts for the development.
For any further information about the scheme and throughout the works, local residents can call Sainsbury’s community affairs representative Richard Harris on Sainsbury’s freephone
